Data Quality Campaign Early Warning Data Systems – Examples from South Carolina and Louisiana

  • Type: Webinar
  • When: Aug 26, 2009 12:00 AM
  • Where: Webinar
  • Description: More states are exploring the idea of using early warning data systems as a mechanism to help district and schools identify students that are at risk of dropping out. Early warning data systems are used to predict whether students are on track to graduation and, by extension, provide educators with data that will allow them to select early and appropriate interventions to help their students get back on track.

This webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 2 P.M. (ET) and is intended to highlight two states who have developed and are deploying such systems:

    • South Carolina’s Student Potential Performance Snapshot (SPPS)
    • Louisiana’s Dropout Early Warning System (DEWS)
