Postsecondary Leaders
Introduction
Longitudinal data - high-quality data about how individual students perform over time- gives postsecondary leaders information needed to improve college readiness for all. Despite growing national interest in better aligning the P–12 and postsecondary education systems to ensure all students leave high school “college ready,” conversations on this issue will be limited until all states have better data provided by aligned P-20 longitudinal data systems. As states begin to connect their P-12 and higher education data systems, postsecondary leaders will have access to a wealth of valuable data to provide feedback to K-12, demonstrate the value of investing in higher education, and improve alignment between K-12 and postsecondary systems.
