Creating Critical Linkages between Education and Other Vital Services to Improve Child Welfare
- Organizations: Data Quality Campaign
- Date: 09/2007
- Description: The fragmented funding of education, child welfare, and other social services has resulted in myriad data systems with limited capacity to communicate with each other. Further, legal restrictions and misunderstood confidentiality constraints have stymied information sharing. This Quarterly Issue Meeting will focus on states and communities that are building bridges between longitudinal education data systems and other public systems that track child outcomes, including not only a student's academic performance but also the child's overall quality of being.
