Graduation and Dropout Rates

States with sophisticated longitudinal data systems can provide a more accurate picture of what happens to students as they move (or dont move) through the education pipeline. The ability to calculate high school graduation and dropout rates based on actual individual student outcomes is critical to any reform efforts around increasing college and career readiness.
